The underground auteur/performance
artist breaks out of his shell and unleashes this avant-garde masterpiece,
a tragicomedy essay film. Through the use of Super 8 home movies, original
rap songs, witty one liners, hilarious early short films about sex and masturbation,
Kubrickian and Wellesian references, early Pink Floyd songs (hopefully, if rights can be secured!!), stand up comedy appearances, and
student experimental films, “Auteurvision” is a fascinating self-portrait
of a prodigy surfing on the edge of sanity. In his unrelenting search for his own
artistic voice, he battles self-doubt, inner demons, and manic-depression.
Filmed over a 25 year period in New York, California, Florida, Hawaii,
Amsterdam, Belgium, and London. Cameo appearance by legendary film director Robert Wise. (The filmmaker is still trying to clear archive footage of other heroes) There is still six more months of post-production ahead.
